1. First, Identify the Problem and Cause
Generally speaking, when sealing edges, you need to choose edge sealing strips that match the color or material of the paint-free board. This also looks harmonious and beautiful. Generally, there are two main problems when sealing the edges of paint-free boards. The first is the poor adhesion between the glue and the edge banding strip, and the second is the poor adhesion between the glue and the paint-free board. And whether the glue used in paint-free boards is environmentally friendly is also a very important issue. Our boards use new environmentally friendly plant glue, and the environmental protection level is leading the industry and reaches E0 level.
Why does glue have poor adhesion to edge strips or paint-free boards? From an environmental perspective, there are two reasons. The first is that the bonding surface of the paint-free board is rough and not smooth, so there is less contact between the glue and the paint-free board, and the adhesion is naturally poor. The second reason is that there are few wood fiber particles on the bonding surface and the resistance to pulling is poor. The edge sealing may rise if you are not careful.
2. Methods of Edge Sealing
Use hot melt adhesive film as an adhesive when sealing edges. First, lay the adhesive film on the edge of the paint-free board with the adhesive side facing down. Then use an electric iron to iron it so that the adhesive film sticks to the edge of the board. Then tear off the release paper on the back to leave the adhesive film on paint-free board.
Generally speaking, there are requirements for the flatness and stability of paint-free boards. We launches 20mm thick environmentally friendly and wear-resistant paint-free boards. The board surface is flat, the core strips are uniform, and it is not easy to deform. Because of its unique thickness, the screw grip is better, the stability is better, and the strength is better. The finished cabinet is stronger and more durable, and has a stronger sense of design.
Then attach the paint-free board edge strip to the adhesive film and iron it with an electric iron at a temperature of no more than 140 degrees Celsius. Finally, let it cool naturally and trim it. Note that in order not to damage the board surface, the plane surface and the board surface should be at an angle of 20 degrees during trimming. Use car-specific putty to treat the adhesive surface of the board glue. The method is to use the putty as a base, and then solidify and polish it smooth after 24 hours.
